In this video, I show you how to create a Teespring campaign. Teespring.com is basically a site that allows you to create your own shirts/mugs/hats/hoodies/etc… to sell. The best part about this is that you actually don’t need to pay to make any of the shirts until you actually sell them. In fact, you don’t even pay to make the shirts either – the customer covers all the costs. All you would be paying for is ads if you will be running paid traffic to your design.
So let’s get started – how do you actually create a design on Teespring?
Very simple – the first thing you need to do is sign up. Simply click on ‘login’ on the top right corner of teespring.com and create a new account. You will literally have to just put in your email, passwords, and name.
After that, you can click on ‘start your design’ on the top right corner as well. You will be taken to a page where you can select what you want to promote. Don’t worry too much about the specific product(s) you will be promoting as you can add new ones later on. However the product you choose here will be your “main” product.
From here on, you can add new colors to your design, add text, and add images to your shirt. You can easily switch between the design and preview tabs of the shirt to design and then see what it will look like. You are pretty limited in terms of how you can format the writing for the shirt… so I would suggest you use a third party editing tool like Photoshop to create your design there and then upload it to your shirt/products here.
Also make sure the image quality is high, since if you pick a low quality image, it won’t look good, but will also not allow you to proceed and go to the next steps. Also, make sure that whatever “default” product color you would like to show up, you have that specific color selected. So if you added a bunch of colors, make sure to manually click the one that you want to be the default that people see when clicking on your product link.
After that is done, you can click on continue and select any additional products you would want to add to your campaign, such as hoodies, socks, or mugs. You might have to edit these individual products because sometimes the text and images that are added don’t look very good.
After you are satisfied with what you have here, you can click on ‘continue’ and you will land on the page that allows you to customize your title and description for your shirt. THIS is something you CAN adjust and edit after you submit your design. I would use some of the strategies used in the book ‘Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion’ here as we discussed in one of my previous review videos to make the product you are selling more appealing to your audience, such as providing them with an exclusive offer, presenting social proof, etc…

If you want to edit your campaign, simply click on the little pencil icon after going to “My Listings”, and you will be able to edit the title and description of your products. As mentioned earlier however, keep in mind that you will not be able to alter the colors, design, or additional products AFTER you publish the campaign.
